I just found this forum by putting a question into Google. Hopefully I will find the answer to my question and a quick/easy way to take care of it. I need to change the lights in the dash of my 98 Explorer and am totally baffled on how to go about it.

The best advice I could give is to pick up a Haynes manual from Autozone..About $20 but they pay for themselves the first time you don't have to take your vehicle to someone else for repair.

Welcome to this forum! There are a few write ups on this. One in particular explains how to remove the gauges, and install gauges with a white background, and black numbers. The bulbs are # 194 wedge mount.
