hello from ND. 93 ranger tranny question

Hi everyone, I'm the new guy. hope this is a simple question. I tipped up the automatic tranny on the 93 ranger 4wd to drill out a broken bolt... the input shaft slid out of the output. Can I put it back in without taking the tranny apart? thanks.

Welcome to this forum! Make sure that the input shaft is facing the correct direction, and is completely seated into the pump before you reinstall the torque converter.
