Hello,
I recently sold my 05 MDX which I replaced my 97 Explorer with... Miss that explorer, hated that MDX. Now I'm looking at a 2002 Explorer with about 103K miles, heavily modified with mostly aesthetic changes, for $7k.
All the reviews on Edmonds.com are pretty bad and say stay away from this year explorer... Guess I'm here to see if that is the general consensus...
Owner says its been well maintained and no problems. Tranny was rebuilt early on, other than that no major repairs or rebuilds...
Love the look and style of that era Explorer, but wondering what other owners have experienced.... don't want a money pit or endless problems.
