Hello everyone this is my first post on this forum, i have just purchased my first explorer a 98 model with 128000 on the clock, so far it is what i expected and very pleased with it it has a few minor issues that i need to deal with eg. a service and part of the exhaust need replacing these i can deal with but on the way home i had two lights that came on every now and again they were the 4x4 high and 4x4 low indicaters does anybody know what causes this also i plan to do an oil change what grade ofoil do you fellas recommend and lastly what pressure should the tyres be as i have no handbook at the moment

tire pressure should be between 35 and 40 depending on your ride preference, oil is 5w30 for most applications. and the blinking lights on the dash mean there is a problem with the 4wd system.

Have you tried using 4wd at all?
