Hey there..
Just a quick note to say hello to all the other explorer fans out there.
I live in NZ and own a 98 XLT explorer. Finally managed to source a few parts I've been looking for for a while so I can modify it to be better off road, and almost have enough cash to get it all happening, so, stay tuned.
Cheers :D

Thanks

Hey there... Me again.
Just a quick thanks to all of you that replied to my first post.
Nice lookin truck Sams01. Sounds like it packs a bit of a punch to.
I'm kinda going the other way with mine... For a change. Lol. Have a 6" lift kit coming in from the states, ordered a set of Anzo head lights and tail lights for it, small rims with some big fat tyres, and looking at fitting a vortech supercharger and doing the appropriate exhaust work to get it all working well together.
Me... I'm pretty damn excited about what the end result will turn out to be like. My wife on the other hand... Hmmmm, yeah well. Lmao. Nor is she even remotely aware of how much money I'm bout to spend on it.

Till next time guys,
Cheers.

Need advice

Hey there,
Quick question for anyone who has an answer... I have a 98 explorer XLT, has the 4.0L V6. Had the exhaust done recently. Had the dual manifolds go into a 2.5" pipe into a straight through turbo muffler and it sounded like absolute ****!! Went back to the mechanic and had a resonator fitted aswell... Still sounds like ****. Better... but still ****. Any advice from anyone on what I can do to give it that nice, deep throaty sound you expect to hear from a Ford. it sounds ok when the revs are kept low, but once it opens up, it's just like a dirty, rattly sounding shriek... Almost sounds like a goddamn skyline motor. Anyway, any input from anyone is much appreciated.
Cheers all,
FATXLT
