Hello everybody,

Just joined the community hoping to find out some info on my vehicle. I own a 1995 ford explorer control trac 4.0 DOHC. Im wanting to eventually put a bigger motor in it and pretty much turn it into a project vehicle. If you guys have any helpful hints ill be more than happy to read them and use them lol

Welcome to the forum. Plenty of things helpful here, just take a look around?

Are you sure that its a 4.0L DOHC, because the 4.0L OHV was the only available engine in 1995, and in 1996 the 5.0L V8 was introduced, and finally in 1997 the 4.0L SOHC was introduced.

Oops lol... just went and looked it up... mine is a OHV... my 99 is a DOHC my bad lol
