Hello everyone. As you realize I am new to your forums. Just took a 1999 ford explorer in as partial trade on my pick up I sold to my parents. This was my mothers car and well it needs some help with some issues. Have been searching the forums, for other related posts.

Can anyone tell me the best place to buy parts for a 2 dr. 2 wd sport trac? The center arm rest is broke and will need replaced. Also missing the key fobs. Has some rattling in the front of it, but other than that it is just small stuff other than the check engine light which I don't have a code reader for. Not much a mechanic other than knowing to to change oil ect. so I will probably seek some help along the way to get this ride back into shape.

Little about myself: I am 36 years old and live in NE Oklahoma. Married with kids 2 at home and 1 in college. Just moved here about 6 months ago and don't know anybody in town except the guys I work with so can't ask anyone for help on any of the things that is wrong with this vehicle. Anyway enough jabber from me and hello everyone.

Thanks in advance for any kind of help you may be able to provide.

Welcome to your demise! This forum will help you spend all the money you got!

Check our used parts vendors like kbabiak and ped5stang (listed in the parts for sale section) for an armrest...

If you're getting rattles up front, check your sway bar body mount bushings.

For Key Fobs and stuff, eBay is the best place. Do you have a keypad on the door?

One note- if you're out and about searching, the 1999 Sport isn't a Sport Trac- the ST is the 4 door Ex with a small exterior bed. Only because I've seen it get people some wrong parts at the store. Just a friendly tip! :)

Thanks everyone, thanks Joe Dirt for correcting me. Shows how much I know about this thing. No I do not have an keypad. I do know that it did have the fobs originally, but they broke along time ago and my mom never did replace them. I will check out the vendors.

welcome
