My wife and I retired several years ago and travel around the country with our dog; pusuing our hobby of prospecting/gem hunting. We have used jeeps in the past; both the CJ5 and Cherokee. We have also used modified Chevy Astro van to go many places that I would never take the jeep. Now we have a 99 Ford Explorer XLS, 5 speed manual and love it the best. We want to be able to "tweek" this ride for our use. More time on BLM roads than anything else. Thanks for the pics and for the help in advance...
