Figured id swing by and make an introductory post real quick. Plan on sticking around for awhile, I’m in the process of finding a mud toy and the 2nd Gen Explorers have piked my interests. Had a few questions I’ll be posting in the relevant sections.

Welcome to the site! Best motor/ tranny combo is behind the v8. Next best motor is the v6 OHV, but the automatics and t cases aren’t the strongest. I’d avoid a SOHC. The 00 and 01s are the best of the years.
