Around 3 months ago, I had that average LOM problem (high or low beam working intermittently).

After reading treads, on this blog, about repairing, replacing, or bypassing LOM, I decided to bypass.

Everything worked for about 2 weeks, but then I had to play (once in a while) with the high/low beam switch (on the steering column), to get the lights working again (on low beam, either one or both head lights would not work). The problem occurs whether or not the lights are actuated manually or automatically.

Now the low beams don’t come-on until I manually click to high beam.

Here’s the current situation:
Inside a dark garage-
1) Set on low-beam, automatic switch works, turns only parking lights on.
2) Set on high-beam, automatic switch works, turns high-beams & parking lights on.

Here’s another situation that I’ll have to describe step-by-step or I’ll your brain spinning and confused… Note: when I talk about switch, I’m referring to the high-low beam switch on the column. I don’t think any of you are dumb; I just want to be clear and explain everything (that I can think of).

When I do #1 above and when I continue ‘I hit the switch to high-beam, the high-beam comes on, then when I hit the low-beam, the low-beam come on.

When I do #2 above and when I continue ‘hit the switch to low-beam, the low-beam comes on, then when I hit the high-beam, the high-beam comes on.

Since the situation changes when I actuate the high-low beam switch, I’m wondering if the problem is somewhere between the switch and the switch relay, signal module, or both or all three? And because I’m totally confused, lost, and don’t have a clue how the switch, signal module, or relay work, connect or interchange with each other, I’m just talking out of my A#@...
