Hey everyone...new to the site but I have a really interesting situation where I haven't been able to get the answer. Figured y'all might know...
I have 2001 Explorer Sport 4.0 "Gas Only" that the engine went out on. I have access to a 2002 Flex Fuel 4.0, can I use this engine without changing over anything (ie: injectors, intake etc.), if I plan on continuing to use regular unleaded gas?
Everything I've been reading has been on doing the actual swap from "gas only to flex fuel". Myself though, just want to change out engines.
Any info or input would be greatly appreciated.
