My explorer is very sluggish and it has 154000 miles and is a 1992. Is there any hope for it or is worn out already?

Beside a good tune up do a search on how to clean the MAS. A lot of people seem to have good results doing that. Good luck!

What do you mean by "take off power"...... its an SUV that weighs nearly 2 tons....... its alot to move. It wont be as quick a mercedes off the line, but you can improve horsepower by moding the exhaust or switch to some sort of cold air intake. Also, realize your truck is 11 years old...... its not as young as it used to be, as it gets older is slows down, just like old people do:)

Do these pretty much in this order:
1. Catback exhaust
2. KKM Tru-Rev induction kit
3. 70mm MAS and 66mm Throttle body
4. Apten Chip

A good set of new plugs and wires can also help.

What do you mean by "good set of plugs and wires"?

I would stick with Motorcraft Double Platinum plugs. For wires, Motorcraft, Taylor or Jacobs are good.
