So right I only have my 04 Sport trac that my wife and I share for the time being. Her car was on its way out so we sold it but luckily we work within a 1/4 mike of each other so just the ST has been working for us. I am going to be starting a new job in the next 3 months but it is one hour in the opposite direction, so we need another vehicle now.
I want a cheap explorer that I can dd and also take out offroading. Right now I have a prerunner type setup on my 4x2 trac so I want to go with a 4x4 explorer and go more of the crawler route. I know I want ttb's or and already sas'ed sploder. Are there specific years that are better or worse than others? Any certain models or packages I should look for? Any common problems with certain models? (example- 5r55e has a common shift flare, found this out after buying my trac)
