2004 Explorer Sport Trac
Hey everyone, I have a 2004 sport trac, and while it has the really nice pioneer radio system, I want some more umph if you know what i mean!

So i was on amazon and picked this out.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/32YRJ3TGDLH2N/ref=cm_wl_list_o_1?

I dont know much about anything about stereo systems, but i have a friend who can help me install it. Is everything on that wish list good? Also Im of course only buying one of those subs, which would be better? Its gonna have to fit under the back seat.

Thanks Guys!

Anyone have any suggestions?

No techy people here?

I am no audio expert by far... just my 2¢...

Skip that amp and wiring kit. Read the "Most Helpful Customer Reviews" of both products on Amazon. Waste of your money IMO.

I have bought install kits on eBay that have that over-thick power wire jacket to make it look like 4 gauge. Pictured below. It's okay if you are fine with the smaller gauge wire. Everything else in the kit was basic or generic, but pry would work okay. I still have that unused kit somewhere, minus the split loom. I sell it to you for cheap...

You would surely need a wiring kit and the boss would be good enough. Know the question is what are you aiming SQ- Sound Quality or SPL- Sound Pressure Level?

Are you trying to add lots of bass or just a punch?
Neither of those boxes will move enough air to actually shake around you, they'll only give you a nice punch inside the car.

I have that Pioneer Sub in my Ex.

In my Tahoe and Ranger, I used Knu Konceptz wire and was THRILLED with it. By far the best stuff I've ever used. It's pricey, but I'm using a 1/0 gauge run in the Tahoe and it's rated for a few hundred amps at 15 feet. MORE than enough for whatever you'll need. I highly recommend them!

Just a bit of a punch, I know its not gonna be crazy good, but it should be nice

If you mount the Pioneer sub facing down, it'll work much better.
