i recently replaced my sway bar end links and the noise i had was gone for about a week. but now i have a entirely different noise/vibration under my feet and the passenger can feel it on their feet as well. I can also feel a nasty clunk in the steering wheel. when coming to stops i get a hallow clunk upon complete stop..as when the truck rocks backwards then forwards again. Nothing is really affected by it, drives normally, but i find this real annoying.
to add a bit more spice. I was looking into the problem myself and i slightly rocked my truck from the outside to see if i could make it do it..and it did its really noticable from the drivers door as i was shaking it. It was a slightly clunk clunk clunk as i shook. I was thinking maybe the shocks are on their way out....it does have 57,000 miles with orignal shocks i believe....

any ideas??????

thanks
ryan

Don't know if the shocks are the problem, but I think I would replace them with that mileage,

Good luck......

until i read a post the other day i had thought shocks lasted longer than 50-60k but i guess thats about the max for them.

i'm thinking of going with gabrial vst's

bumpy bump anybody eles have a thought?

You need new shocks for sure so just get them anyway and see if the noise goes away.

Although, I doubt that the shocks are the culprit as those do not make clank clank sound. If you could hear the sound while shaking the truck from the outside then have a friend shake it while you look underneath for any loose parts.

Good luck!

also when the passegner gets out i hear a very simliar noise....i just noticed this
