Ok guys come up with some sweet quick fix for me. I tried to pull my rear drum off and the shoesare too tight so I need to retract them. I pulled the plug and got in the rear to rotate the starwheel. Problem was I spun it wrong way and the brakes got even tighter. I have been trying for the last 2 hrs to get the wheel to turn the other way and nada!! I shot a little penetrating oil on the adjuster a few times and still nothing. I can't seem to lift the retaining clip that sits on the starwheel. I tried pushing it, but still nothing.

Does anyone know a trick to this? Oh and I do have the starwheel adjuster tool.

when i was tooo lazy to try and turn the wheel, i sprayed wd-40 into the crack between the drum and the shoes themselves, this lubed them up a bit, and i was able to beat the drums off with a hammer. besides that, id suggest mabey loosening up the bleeder valve, and letting the pressure out of the wheel cylinder. that might allow the break shoes to contract and get the drum off.

I second what he said.
