Help needed with my fuel system.

Hi my name is David Batt i am looking for some help with my 1987 Ford Ranger 4x4 XLT 2.9 V6 I have just put in a new used motor and now it will not start for me I am not getting fuel into the fuel rail. there is fuel from tanks to the main system but it will not go inti the rail and pressure up the injectors can some one help me with that I like my little truck and want to get it back on the road so I can play. Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread to the Ranger section. You could have a bad fuel pressure regulator or a kinked fuel hose.

THat might be the problem but were is that located on the motor is it right at the fuel rail or is it some other place.I ave not checked the fuel line and it is not kinked.

Follow the fuel rain on the top of the engine. You will see the pressure regulator.

Hi guys I have a new problem with my 4x4 ranger the motor I put in is no good coolant getting in to block.my question is do you know if a 4.0L will mount to my existing trany.please tell me it will I do belive it will all I know is that I will have to get the computer to go with that motor?
