HELP! PLEASE What kind of ALTENATOR is on my 2002 ford EX LIMITED 4.6 liter??? Help

Hey my alternator is gone and my mechanic is having trouble finding one where my EX is 4.6 and the new one he did find is over $300, so I want to know what kind of alternator is needed for the 4.6 any info will help so I can check my local used part stores for a cheaper used one? Also does like the 4.6 ones from a mustang or an 4.6 F-150 fit? Any one know this stuff please let me know part numbers,amp amount, anything that can help me?

i got mine at oreily's local to mich. Thing to watch out for with my '04 there are two types, one that has a silver back cover and one that has a black cover. Mine was black and it had to be special ordered from the warehouse.

Hey thanks, for the answers I got the EX fixed nowed, after picking up 3 different alternators I found the one it's a BOSH with 2 year warranty ...the first 2 I got looked the same but bolt pattern was different, the guy at parts place let me take them back and try and match them up so finally on the 3rd one it was the one.
