2000 XLT Ford explorer
Hi I am from New Zealand and want to make my 2000 XLT Explorer into a 2WD with existing engine or with a V8.My truck is RHD.

I can't believe how hard it is to find any info on this.
I want to know a break down of parts needed I don't want to just pull thefront axels out our drop the drive shaft off the front diff.

I want to get rid of the complete drive train transfer case font 4WD hubs and want to know what parts engine and transmission to replace it with fuel injected or carbed and what would be the best way too do it.

I am hoping some one from Australia or New Zealand can help me out but I will take any expert and sensible advice from anyone that's willing to help me in my quest

Cheers PPL

Just look for a 2wd version out of the Ranger or Explorer if you cant find them get a trans out of a Mustang. then Biggest thing you would need is to make a cross member for the trans and find a drive shaft the correct lenght.
