Hello All,

I'm not sure if this post belongs here or the "How-To" section, but I have a question about Front Door Removal. Actually, I have a question about reinstalling the front door panels.

I did a search and came across Dead Link Removed post which featured really helpful pictures on how to remove the front door panels in order to install speakers. It was a HUGE help! However, now that I'm ready to put the panels back on, I'm a bit dumb-founded.

When I removed the panel, I was able to pull off the panel from those little friction screws. In other words, I never had to remove the friction screws themselves. But when I went to put the panel back on, it doesn't seem that I can reinsert the holes on the panel to the screws that remain in the door.

My question is, do I just need to be sure to align the panel and "punch" it over the screws or should I go back and remove all the screws, put them in the panel, and then insert the panel?

Sorry to post yet another door panel removal thread, but when I searched on this specific thing, nothing came up -just how to remove the panel.

Thanks for any information anyone can provide!

If your talking about the plastic ones on the bottom of the door, just align them and use your hand to hit them in, trying not to bend them (but if you do once or twice you can bend them back, given they don't break when you do). It may take you a few times to get it right, it took me the better part of 15 mins to get my door aligned correctly with those little screws on the bottom.

you have to go back and remove all the screws from the door and then slide them back into the panel... then just line up the panel on the door, making sure you get the top close enough to the window otherwise the panel sticks out a little bit, and push the screws back into the door. i took the screws out of the door with a pair of pliers, it bent the tops a little but they still work.
