Help, throttle body spacer installation.

I purchased a poweraid throttle body spacer for my '98 V8.
The other day I was under the hood trying to install it and ran into a problem. I could not get the throttle body off of the intake manifold. The directions state to remove 3 bolts (which I did), 1 nut (I also did) and 1 stud? What stud? I was going to take a rubber mallet and tap the throttle body off, but first wanted to make sure that I did'nt miss anything. Any tips out there? thanks, Tony.

I dont know if you finished or not but I would assume that the 1 stud that they want removed is the stud that the nut screwed to. I believe they only have 4 fasteners to the manifold- the stud and the nut are one, and the others are bolts. Trying to remember from my Mustang days.
