I'm in the midst of a water pump replacement that led to a broken bolt and timing cover/timing chain refresh.

I'd really like to move the P/S and A/C bracket out of the way to see a bit better, but it doesn't appear that there is a lot of movement available in the A/C lines.

Does anybody have a trick or tip for getting that bracket out of the way so that I can really see what I'm working with on that side of the engine?

Thanks!

I did this exact job last year and did not see any need to move - or even loosen - that bracket. The timing cover comes off and the scraping of gaskets etc. were all easy to do with that bracket in place. I did remove the radiator - which left plenty of room to work. I could even get my air impact on the crankshaft bolt to break it loose. Good luck.

I was able to lift the bracket out of the way by placing a bar across the top of the engine bay and using a strap. There was room, but it was tight and I wanted to be able to see just a little bit better.

Thanks.
