So far on my tranny swap I got the Transmission over the Y pipe and in place..I cant get it to butt up agianst the engine..no matter how hard I push :fire: :fire: ..now I think I may have messed up the torque converter installation...to my understanding it just went over the Spilines for the pump Right?...It spins pretty freely where it is...But im not sure if I have it right please help!!!!!!

The torque converter has several engagements it has to make to be fully seated. The TC pilot should be back over 1/2 inch from the mounting face if it is fully engaged. Drawing a transmission in wit bolts can do a lot of damage.

Does it JUST go over the splines in the pump? Nope...The TC has two flats on the end of the snout that go around the pump shaft, but inside the inner pump gear (you can't see it). Here's some pictures of that pump gear (and some mods):

If it is not engaged....BAAAAD stuff will happen!
