But you're gonna need to drop down the two hooks if you want to mount them horizontally. You can do this by getting (or making) a bracket to drop them down or by spacing them out with washers because they need to clear the welded on flange at the end of your frame.

Sounds like too much trouble to me. I just got the vertical kind. They look like "fangs" under my truck.

explorerchic-

I wanted to do the same thing. I wanted the horizontally mounted ones, but I also wanted the ones that are loops, not hooks. BUT let me know how yours turn out, and take some pics if you can, cause if it works out good, I may go to Chevy and order a set.... Ford wanted to rip me off....

Jason: thanks for the link I've got a better idea now of that i'm going to do, just have to wait til tomorrow so I can see (daylight)
And yeah I'll take some pic's too :)

Yeah the chevy dealership round here sells the set for like $25.

umm, well doesnt look like these hooks are going to work  I don't know how this is even going to work with any other hook either (on my 2000 sport) there's no open space in my bumper for the hooks to go....I guess i may have to take some pic's for ya see. Anyone added some to their 2000?? Dead Link Removed
