Help with which spark plug to the DIS

What is the number system vs spark plug position on a '94. Are they sequential in as "1,2,3 on one side 4,5,6 on the other. Currently my 5 and 6 are reversed. Is this correct? Thanks!

The Haynes manual reads like this:
Cylinder numbers (front to rear)
Left (drivers) side.........4-5-6
Right side......................1-2-3

I have the Chiltons but it wasn't very clear on location.


Mine is currently set up like this:
Cylinder numbers (front to rear)
Left (drivers) side.........4-6-5
Right side......................1-2-3

This can't be correct. I had a mechanic install my jacobs thing along with spark plugs and cables. It has been like this for 6 months. Could this be causing CEL to come on? Should I change?
