When first shifting into drive, as i bgin to move foward, i hear a high pitched clunking comming from front somewhere. Then when i hit the brakes for the first time, i hear one more clunk. The same happens in reverse. This is a trickey one.

this isn't your brakes trying to hold the car but its lurking forward is it? I get that all the time if so

Hmm, its probably something in the brakes. Its high pitched? You sure it couldnt be a sqeal? Do you use your parking brake regularly?
