Ok My boss left his 98 XLT with me for the week, and when I went to move it after it had sat for 3 days, It started, but hesitated, and was very jumpy. After giving it some gas and circling the lot a few times, it evened out and ran fine... any ideas??? I havent had this problem, and Im only starting a new thread bc searching for hesitation brings up 108 different threads and they are all about the plugs (which it isnt, ive had that before, and this isnt it), the wires (same as before) and such... So ya, any ideas?

Maybe a dirty IAC valve? When they get stuck, the efects are similar to a vacuum leak.

Iv'e had good results on several older cars with a bottle of Techron from Chevron. Pour in the bottle, but only fill up your tank with gas halfway. Drive the puppy on the freeway for a while. Worked wonders on my moms car with 80,000k on it. No more stumbling. Even if it doesn't help, there is no harm done and your only out $6. Available at most autoparts and walmart. also at any Chevron station-put it runs you a buck more there.
