Hey everyone, new in these parts

New to the forum and Ford Explorers. I bought a 1998 Explorer Sport in April. Used to have a Jeep Wagoneer and later a Jeep Cherokee Chief. Years ago. I missed camping and driving out on the point at the outer banks of NC.

So after other cars and trucks, the last was a 99 Stang GT (which I really miss) I am back to the 4X4s!

I've always liked the 2door Sport. I love it so far. So is this a Mazda or is the Mazda a Ford?

Glad to see you're back to the 4x4's, especially glad it's and Explorer! Ford did make a Mazda version of the Explorer called the Navajo. They used the 2 door Sport. They stopped making them in 94' though. And the manual tranny's in Explorers are Mazda tranny's. Your truck is a Ford all the way buddy! Ford owns Mazda, so anything from Mazda with a Ford counter part more than likely started off as a Ford. Welcome again and happy postin'! Hope to see you on an East Coast run sometime!
