- '99 Eddie Bauer
Just thought I would introduce myself. I recently purchased a '99 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Edition (is that actually a model or just a trim package - should I describe it by calling it an EB or just an Explorer?).
This is my first Explorer, the result of a car accident and a totaled car. I got it for a good price off Craigslist, though it came with a few problems. For some reason, with this car, I feel the bug to fix things myself, mostly cosmetic and a few other issues. Granted, most of these are little things, but ever since a friend helped me change the brakes and replace a broken seat on my old car, I've gained enough courage to start messing with my ride.
A little about me, I'm a grad student at NC State. Married less than a year ago, hoping to graduate in about a year and a half. I'm pretty normal. Nothing terribly interesting about me. When it comes to working on cars, I have very limited knowledge, but hopefully by hanging around here and reading up on how to fix my own car, I can learn how to better take care of mine and my wife's in general and not have to turn to the garage every time something little needs to be done.
So anyway, hi to everyone!
