help me build my explorer!

i just got myself a '94 explorer that i am going to build..
i am just in the process of parting out my built 85 toyota..years ago i put a 351w with a t18 to a dual toy transfer case set-up,welded toy diffs and 37" mt/r's...i was breaking input shafts on the t-cases like nothing  ..and the body is now destroyed.plus i need to take my youngest daughter out with me,as i always have taken my older daughter with me,so i needed more seating...
every one here on vancouver island runs toyota's,so a change will be nice!!
i am planning on putting a 60 under the front, and a 60,14 bolt or a sterling under the rear...
my dilema comes in the way of motor and tranny/t-case options....should i go with the 351w and t-18,and buy a 203/205 combo,or do i try and adapt the t-18 to the 4.0L and use the marlin set-up,or do i swap in the mazda 5-speed and have an adapter made to mate that to the marlin set-up?
any idea's would be appreciated!
by the way,i would really like to keep the 4.0L if there is a feasable way..

Welcome to the site, I'm sure someone with a lil more knowledge will chime in on your question, Gd Lck ;)

Welcome to the site:D

The 351 swap is very difficult due to the size of the motor. you definitley would loose A/C if you have it.

My .o2 would be to keep the 4.0 or go for a 5.0 HO out of an early 90's mustang. You can also take the Tremec T-5 out of the same donor mustang.

For a transfer case that will take you there :D Search the forum for the Atlas II

As to axle's I would save a bit of money and go for a D44 up front and leave the 8.8 rear

Then again, I don't really know how hard you use your truck, and I still sit on my IFS and am afraid of tree rash ;) So you may take my opinions with a grain of salt.

i use my truck very hard!the reason for all this change,is to stop parts breakage,so it will deffinatly be 60's!!
i figured i would have to lose the air(that sucks!)i used to run a t-5 out of a mustang in my old toyota, before the t-18.the reason i ditched it was the horrible first gear...are the ranger 5-speeds geared any better?
the newest plan is to keep the 4l,and swap in the mazda 5-speed(i'm assuming this would be easy?)and then having a adapter made to my dual toy cases...
i would really miss the power though!

oh,and the atlas is wayyyyy out of my price range!
