HHO kit save fuel??

Has antbody thought about trying this to save fuel,

i have a hho kit fitted on mine it was part of the deal when i get it and as so far the results are not too good it dose improve the mpg but not by much.i had the car for two weeks befor it was fitted, so i had a good chance to see the differace.imo not worth the cost.

does your have the o2 sensor stuff extenders or chip to confuse the ecu?

thanks for that, doing alot of research before i buy, had a P38 range rover with lpg ended up with a burnt piston and broken valves, after 2 sets of head gaskets in 6 years not going won't touch lpg again or a range rover lots of other stuff wnet wrong and basically i need an account with £1000 in for when it went wrong 9 (which is always) explorer is much better. thought HHO might be good but unless i can get a kit cheap i am beginning to think its snake oil.

O2 sensors

In my opinion it would be cheaper, easier and just as efficient to custom tune the PCM for a leaner air/fuel mixture. However, unless the catalytic converter is supplemented the nitrous oxides in the exhaust will increase. If you have a smog test you would probably fail.

The reason HHO is not that effective is because the O2 sensors report a lean condition to the PCM and the a/f ratio is richened which counters the fuel economy increase. To maximize HHO fuel economy an electronic box (EFIE) must be incorporated to trick the O2 sensors.
