New to this site, but seemed to be a place I'm most likely to find some ideas about what to do with my baby. Not sure where to post this thread so I"ll start here.
I have a 2000 Explorer XLT (186K mi) with a hesitation/ jumping problem. First it seemed to only do this when it rained or there was moisture in the air, but it randomly does it during acceleration, especially if the heater or AC are on. Check engine light always reads cam shaft sensor, which has been replaced twice with no correction. I've had alot of work done to this truck, the engine is solid and I love it but I'm at my end trying to figure this out. My personal mechanic believes it's some kind of electrical issue. Any ideas?
Thanks for your time!
