I would like to say hello to everyone!!! I am new to the forum, I just got a 96 Xlt a couple of weeks ago and will be doing some work on it hoping to make it like new again, The truck is in pretty good condition and has all the toys on it including a powered sun roof air seats etc. It has 130,000 miles but runs like new,
Now the Bad Its needs all 4 Ball Joints Replaced and the water pump has a small drip starting, Hopefully with some advise from this forum I can do the work myself ;)

I would say you could change the water pump yourself in about a day. Not saying it will take that long, but it can be done at home.

To do your balljoints, there are a few write ups around the site, you'll just have to search a little bit. I'm about to replace my balljoints, it's not an easy task. Took me a lot of courage to get the balls to because they are important parts. I'd ask around and see if there's anyone that does it on the side and can help you out.

Good luck and welcome!
