I have towed a 4000 lb 27 foot travel trailer approx 40,000 miles with 95,97,02 and currently an 04 explorer all with the 6 cyl engine. I've not had a moment's problem with any of them.

thank you for the confidence booster.........this is my first time with such a travel trailer and i look forward to it.

We've put quite a few miles on small travel trailers in the past 20 years----towed pop-ups several years before that. We've been from Key West to Nova Scotia and to Seattle and down the West coast---plus lots of shorter trips. All of our towing has been with Explorers and the same 27 foot trailer for the past 15 years. I'd be glad to pass on a tip or two if you'd like them sometime.

thank you for the input .... i am receiving similar responses about positive experiences and it makes me feel more comfortable that we made a good choice.
thanks again
