Just bought a 98 XLT with the 4.0l SOHC motor. Got it for a song because it has the dreaded timing chain rattle. I'll be pulling the motor this weekend and repairing it as soon as the special tools arrive.

I've been reading and searching the forums. Lot's of good info and I hope to contribute when I can.

I've been driving a 94 ZJ for the last 6 years. I lifted it 5" and made my own long-arm suspension with upgraded axles and 4.56 gears. Don't know if I'll be doing this to the Explorer but I'm considering a SAS and such.
