hi guys my name is charl i'm 19 i stay in south africa and own a LHD 1994 xlt, not sure if the year is correct but thats what it was advertised as when i bought it, but living in sa i am very grateful to have a explorer as there are few explorer's around due to the stupid law about banning LHD vehicles fortunatly mine was here before the law was introduced, dad has a 1996 bronco oviously also LHD i was wondering if anyone would have any info on the ABS system on my explorer i have shop manuals on my truck but doesnt illustrate a ABS wireing diagram. the ABS light comes on when i start it and stays on or sometimes comes on while idling or driving while the light it illuminated the ABS does not work i have tried putting the scanner on it at work but cannot get the code out. i have had the gearbox and engine overhauled. but this wouldnt affected the brakes is it did this since i bought it.

any suggestions would be appreciated

Welcome to this forum! The ABS light is flashing a code number. Count the flashes, and check the code number on WWW.VeryUseful.Com. The cheap scanners can't read these codes.
