found the site through google while trying to find a bull bar for my 96, I gather already thats a pretty tall order, I only got my Explorer last week on Ebay but loving it already, I bought it mainly as a 3rd tow car replacing my Jeep Cherokee, as I work for Ford in R+D a jeep was never going to cut it :D

anyway hope to find out more on my new toy

Welcome to Explorer Forum!

Hi Glyn.

I am originally from the UK, 55 years there, but 7 years now in Canada.

I am on my 2nd Explorer. The first was a '91 with some 310km when the tranny went. There were issues with the engine and bodywork so I let it go.

Now have a 2000 V6 4L with just 130Km. Have done the front bearings, rotors and calipers, with help from this forum.

No matter how bizzare the problem, almost certain to find someone else who has got it, had it, and or cured it.

There are some very knowledgeable and helpful folk. I find it better than a workshop manual.

Your Ex' looks good, is it RHD ? and does it turn heads in the UK ?

Like the little repeaters on the front fenders, are they stock ?

I thought Bull Bars were frowned upon in the UK ?

Regards

Hi Mogsmex,

I only picked up my first Explorer ('99) this week, and joined here a day or two later.

Fantastic car, absolutely loving it so far.

I thought about bullbars as well, but I can't find a definitive answer, and they seem pretty hard to come by anyway so I'll have to live with just adding some lights and sidesteps for now.

Hi UK Guys. Run a search of the Forum, "Nerf" "Brush" "Bars"

Some photos of front bars. I am sure folk will point you in the right direction.

Shipping and import taxes from the U.S could be costly.
