The Explorer in question was my Mom's, a 2WD 4-door with 55,400 original on the clock. It was generally well maintained and in good shape but for the liftgate struts and the paint (green metallic, bad clearcoat.) Need a left rear wheel cover too, since one fell off.
Anyway, glad to have found this forum, and I'm very open to advice about how to take care of an older vehicle which hasn't moved much in 16 years. I play in a band on weekends and expect to get a bit of use out of it that way.
