hi, i join to this side cause i got a explorer sport 2001 and need the way to repair, step by step, the steering rack and pinion.

Welcome to this forum! You should find what you're looking for if you do a seach on this site. I'm sure that it was covered somewhere. Generally on this type of job, you remove the two hydraulic fittings on the rack & pinion, the flexible half shaft (a type of univeral joint), tie rods, and two lock nuts which connect it to the cross member.
