My 4x4 was not working on my '94 x, so i took it into the dealer. They told me it would cost $900.00 to replace the auto hubs. I've looked into the manual hub conversion and im thinking of doing that but i had one question. By doing the hub conversion will i still have the high and low 4x4, cause its a switch on the dash that switches it from low to high.

Definetly go manuals, much cheaper and more reliable. You will still have 2WD, 4H and 4L. You will actually have 2L also. No question, get manuals.

Welcome to the site!

As Byrd said, definately put in the manuals. You will have to get out and engage them when you want 4x4, but they're much stronger than autos and you can also have 2lo if you engage 4lo with the hubs "off".

you will still have 4x4/4x2/and 4x4 lo... the only difference is to be in 4x4 you will need to get out of the truck and trun a switch on the hubs themselves as opposed to just pressing the button.... you will need to press the dash mounted button as well

Check this out: GREAT DEAL!!!

I have the Warn manual hubs on my '92 and I love them. Much more reliable. How does 2lo work with having the transfer case engaged? Is this hard on it? Thanks.

Thanks

Thanks every one. I ordered my hubs the other day and am just waiting to get them. :D
