so the bone head dealer says its the fan clutch thats revving and sounding like a jet engine when it engages...he cant explain WHY that when the FAN clutch engages (lol) and i floor it, im pushing 6k RPM and doing 20 MPH ( its NOT the fan, its in the tranny)...ive come to the conclusion that they dont want to make any repairs cause its still under warrenty...took it to another ford dealer across town and 35 miles farther away (they still have it) and still no word from the 2nd dealer as to what it could be

the problem starts after about 10 miles (warmed up) or so and usually before its gone through all 5 speeds in drive. from a rolling start the motor will suddenly start to rev (like a huge industrial fan) and the more i accelerate the louder the noise and the higher the RPM's but no increase in speed. im thinking a flow valve or the torque converter is going away

they have already updated the shift points and flushed the tranny with freash oil..neither helped

Ck coolant, radiator is probably blown and when it sees high temps put vehicle into limp mode and definitely affects trans operation.

Id say the same thing, check the coolant level, the jet engine sound is prob coming from the fan being engaged all the time since the car is prob close to over heating. This would be the first thing id check

well the stealer put a new fan clutch in before i had the chance to look at the water level...they gave it to me for cost after all the problems and complaining i did...$300 out the door parts and labor....been driving like it should for 2 days now....just wish i had posted up before i went to the dealer and found out about the radiator fluid level being the brains of the operation...i wont be so hasty next time an issue comes up with this vehicle...thanks for the input guys
