Anyone have access to the High Series console wiring diagram? This is for the non-message center version. So need the pinouts for the radio and HVAC controls and cig lighter. Can't seem to find a diagram anywhere!

noone???

Well, there's a lot of diagrams that pertain to these things. The "high series" console also has a Rear Integrated Control Panel, to which the radio is connected.

Is there anything in particular you need? Do you only need electrical diagrams, or do you need vacuum diagrams for the HVAC controls, too?

weird, I took 2 high series console and both didn't have vacuum lines for the rear HVAC. I'm looking for the pinout for the main plug-in. I don't have the message center since I want to use that space for gauges. But i do want know what the pinouts are for rear radio, cig lighter, blower controls. All I need is that pinout, i can take it from there :)

They vary a bit based on the model year (eg some have the LOM with the message center, etc.). I have a connector diagram for a 2000 model, but I have to scan it. Could have it up tomorrow.

that would be amazing! Anything would be a great step toward wring this thing. Thanks!

noone has a diagram???

Ah, I don't know what I was thinking before, I thought you wanted diagrams for the entire radio and A/C system. I'd have been up all night doing that.

If you want it, there's also a connector pinout available as well. I didn't post it because you seem to have already gathered that info from your equipment. But if you need it let me know. I also have full-size pics, if you have difficulty reading these just say so.

Sorry I couldn't get the pics scanned earlier - I've been sidetracked the past two days repairing my girlfriend's iPhone (took an unplanned trip through the washer...) Anyway, the pinout that I have for the 2000 Ex is different from what MarT posted, so I'll post mine also. I guess Ford has gone through a few revisions of the connector...

(includes wire assignments for CD Player, Message Center, Rear Controls, and Aux Power - cell phone wasn't an option in 2000)

Awesome! This helps alot!

Now I need to figure out what the audio corporate protocol A and B are ????
ASYS?
And how to wire this into an afterharket head unit

But I feel as I'm getting much closer! Thanks!!!

-Mattie

ASYS On and Audio Corporate Protocol A/B are for communication between the CD player, radio, and rear controls. All the information I could find on them (back when I was installing my sound system) indicated that they are proprietary to Ford.

To the best I can tell, there is no way to wire the rear controls or factory CD player directly to an aftermarket HU. However, I believe that there is an adapter that allows some of the rear controls to work with an aftermarket HU.

What I did when I upgraded my sound system was to install a factory MACH radio (a step up from the normal "Premium" radio) and wire in a set of preamp outputs to the head unit. Then I installed a separate set of amps for the door speakers and an MTX thunderform sub in the factory location. This retains the factory look with MUCH better sound. I also added a USA Spec iPod interface since I don't have the factory CD changer.
