Thought I would say hi... Just bought a '99 Sport today, bone stock so I'm sure no one would care to see pics! Looking forward to doing a few things to it!

I also have a '75 Bronco sport that I'm restoring, check out my web page if you are bored at work like I am!

Welcome to the site! Which 4.0 do you have, OHV or SOHC??? How many miles on it?

Thanx! It's the SOHC version with about 53K on the clock.

I think the OHV 4.0 basically became extinct in 1997. Sounds like you have a pretty sweet ride. What do you plan on doing to it ?

Hmmm now that is the question... I would love to throw a few inches of lift and some 33's or 35's on there, but I already have my Bronco for that, so I'm not sure. Definitely going to do something though, can't stand driving a stock vehicle! :p

I have never really looked much into what you can do to an Explorer, it was sort of a spur of the moment purchase. It's cool to see what everyone has done to their rides!

Is there a forum to post just general problems? My Explorer has a tendancy to pull to the right sometimes (and sometimes worse than others) while braking...

Thanx for the warm welcome! I hate being the newbie

Oh, also, I saw this topic in the "Helpful Threads" forum, I think that when I'm fully pressing the gas pedal it's not going WOT... there was an article there about how to take up some slack in the throttle cable, but it's not there now... wherd it go?

Hey man you can find alot of great info like the stuff you are talking about by using the search button. It is one of the buttons in the top area there. Welcome to the site. You certainly picked the right place to come to get tips and advice on your newfound vehicle.

Welcome to the site! Search for the "throttle cable mod" you should be able to find it up there, if not. You just place a zip tie(or 2) around the end of the throttle cable above the gas peddle. Put it towards the seat though!

Hey, Outshine2! This is your boss! Now I know what you've been doing at work all this time!

;) ...just kidding. Welcome to the forum!

With the SOHC engine, you may want to read up on Owner Notification Programs 00M12 AND 01m01. These are extended warrantys for the intake manifold O-Rings (rough idle on cold start) and cam tensioners/ timing chain cassettes (ticking/clicking/funky noises at idle). You may want to check w/Ford to see if these repairs have been performed.....

Welcome to the site! Good luck, It looks like you know what you are doing and will do a great job with your X! Love those old Bronco's!

Hey, nice seeing you again. I was wondering if you were still interested in joining Club 4x4ord?

Hey Chris! Yeah, I'm still down, sorry I haven't gotten back to you in so long, I've been waaay busy!

Oh, I know what you feel like. I need to get craking on a bunch of website stuff. Hope to see you around.
