Holy Wind noise Batman!

So I am getting ready to drive to Arizona for ThanksGiving and I decide to take off my Conferr Roof rack. I cant fit my Explorer in my garage with it on, so it's off for the winter. On my way to work this morning I noticed a HUGE difference in wind noise without the rack. My Explorer is a ton quieter without the rack, My conferr rack was making a Hell of alot of noise! Does anyone else get a ton of wind noise from there rack? Now I'm worried that I will never put the rack back on because of the noise.

I had a ton of wind noise with a generic baja type rack. I later replaced it with a yakima basket rack with the fairing. MUCH quiter. Of course it got stolen not to long after. But It worked well. LOCK IT to your truck somehow. Maybe a cable lock?

You can do what a lot of big rigs do. Add a little air deflector at the front of the rack. That might help.

Don't have any wind noise that I can hear with mine on. Maybe one day I'll take them off and see.

I have whatever rack the XLT comes with. If I remove this, will it help reduce wind noise?
