Got to making my shackles today. 3/8" x 2" steel, 11" overall, 9" on center holes (I believe the warrior shackles are 8.5" on center), clearance for 9/16 bolts, 3.05" spacer/center support made of 1.5" solid square stock. Fully TIG welded.

Paint comes tomorrow.

9/16" x 5" Grade 8 bolts came in the mail today.

Not sure when install will happen. Still need to order my wheels, have my 33's mounted on them, then new shocks all around and the body lift still needs to be ordered and installed as well as lots of other things.

Awesome job man, you could make some money on making these for members.

Here's the spec's for the WP shackles...

NICE shackles freezingbelow! Very stout, wish I had a set. Mine are the cheepy autozone ones.

Racer, where you from in Pa? I'm on the northside of Pittsburgh.

Nice job!

Nice. I made my own also.

Nice work.

I'm probably going to be getting rid of mine, though, and going back to stock shackles.

Just curious - why?

Drop the rear back down a little and also to keep from flattening my leaf springs any more than necessary. Thinking about doing a spring over axle flip and sloping the body lift. Holding off on anything until I get the new wheels/tires mounted, though, and seeing what I need to do from there.

Ah, gotcha. I've been toying with the idea of doing shackles / TT on my otherwise stock Trac, but trying to weigh out the pros and cons.

My advice, only do what is necessary. They may be necessary for what you want to achieve but they will flatten out your leafs. What size tires will you have?

Sorry guys, most of the stuff I make is usually one off. Too much of a hassle to mass produce things. tried it once and it became more of a pain than it was worth.
