not sure on how many horses, in the ball park of 150ish at the crank??
but with a nice cat back exhaust system and a intake system would be a good start in increasing HP's !!

More like 210 Crank H.P oem

Yeah, if it's the sohc, then 210 hp. Don't know when they stopped making the ohv, but that was 160 hp.

Depends on what 4.0 you have. The SOHC or the OHV.

mine is a sohc thanks anyomre suggestions on how to increase it

I believe they stopped making the OHV in 97
I could be wrong tho..

Open intake, 2.5 inch catback exhaust, all syn oils, 91 octane gas, apten chip will get you approx 20-25 more crank H.P

cool what exhaust exactly would be good

the Magna flow system is nice
I like the Gibson single side duel outlet system

I think the Flowmaster system sounds like crap in the 4.0L

I think from a HP gain standpoint all aftermarket exhaust are about the same, I have a magnaflow, works for me

does it change if it a dual out or not

IMO. one will gain more HP from a single catback than a dual catback
