After installing a brand new IAC I went out and test drove it After about an hour I was just about home. It just lost power and it stalled. Would barly run with my foot to the floor( less than 500rpm) It had a hot starting problem for a while but I have replaced the IAC and new plugs( plugs where toast) But now this is baffling me.

Any ideas what to check next, o2s etc.

Check the gap on your plugs one more time, then tripple check them! I had a similar problem with my 96 Sport 4L where a .054" gap vs. .050" gap was causing a missfire condition, which led me to the IACV. When I changed that, I created a small leak, which is what was causing my Ex to idle low and nearly stall out.

Well looks like with over 37000 members no one else has had this problem. either that or people are to arrogent to help another person out. more than likely the latter

huh? Are you joking around? You just posted your question YESTERDAY. You get no response in 1 day and you think it sucks? Geez. I've posted threads and not got an answer for 5 days...

Hot weather dieseling. I've seen cars with bad O2 sensors do that. I've seen cars with vacuum leaks do that. I've also seen carburated cars do it from vapor locking. Hint: Check your hoses and intake for vac leaks FIRST as that is easy. Obviously if you're getting any CEL codes when it happens, you need to find out what they are.

Well this isn't the only post where I haven't seen replys in weeks. NO CEL the truck isn't dieseling it just DIES. I did check it for bad hoses.

WTF do you call this? I had the EXACT same problem and in the link thread explain exactly how I fixed it ... answered within 9 minutes of your post no less

I, for one, am extremely sorry that I didn't have 94zebraranger's questions answered within 30 seconds of posting. Like everyone else on here, I have absolutely nothing else to do with my time but try and help out every Explorer owner I can on this site. Family, friends, work, church, Packers football, and KU basketball all take a backseat to EVERY problem from a fellow member of explorerforum.com

(I didn't lay the sarcasm on too thick did I?? ) Seriously 94zebraranger, if you're patient and bump your thread to the top after a day of no replies, you'll probably get a response. But when you call us all arrogant, you're probably not going to get much help.
