a 10 will fit perfectly but you have to get a new box, probably a Q-logic Q-form. they sell them at crutchfield.com for about 250 bux an 8 inch custom box would only set you back 150 but you lose a lil bit of the lower frequencies. if you are going to keep the stock amp you should use a more efficient speaker because you wont have the wattage for a big wattage hog. 8 inchers wouldnt require as much wattage to get the same excursion. Pioneer 10 inchers are about 40 bux at best buy and they hit really good for low wattage and they work alright with small sealed enclosures. the best bang for the $ sub i have ever seen, and i have had many subs, are the infinity refrence series sub. their sealed box volume is .56 cubic feet for flat response and they sound damned good in any enclosure, i have installed about 40 stereos and the infinity refrence are still my favorite boom for the buck. if you type "gg350" in the special messages box at crutchfield you get free two day shipping which is cool because you get your stuff really quick, plus if you buy the sub from them along with the box they will give you a discount so that is cool too.
but if you are going to get a custom sub for the back the MTX thunderform at crutchfield is the best deal because it comes with a good 10 inch sub that is perfect for the box and it is 300 dollars for the box with the sub, and it only need a minimum of 50 watts to bump it.
hope that helps you out
