how do i fill my rear-end he he he but really?

while changing my clutch and reconnecting my driveshaft i noticed my rear end is leaking well the cover is pretty saturated anyway i wanna make sure its got enough fluid in it but couldnt find a drain plug like i have on my 5.0 mustang. can i fill it through the vent hose line? what do i fill it with?:confused:

My fill plug is on the front, drivers side of the diff. If your cover is leaking, you might as well pop it off and fix it. Make sure that you can remove the fill plug first. The fluid recommendation in my owners manual called for some motorcraft specific fluid, I used GL5 80w/90.
 






I would have it done. It went to jiffy lube and was qouted $30. After they rolled it into the pit I said, hey put synthethic in there. The little grease money followed orders nicely. It would have cost me more to do it myself. Plus the gear lube smell never seems to leave. As mentioned above always check the fill plug before draining.
