how do i find waht front axle i have..d35-28?

I just recently bought a second xplorer. It pulled hard to the right so went to bell tire to get an alignment. They looked it over and came out with bad news. It needs new lower ball joints and both tie rod ends. However i will be replaceing all four ball joints as well as radius arm bushing and front u joints. I went out bought the tire rod ends and installed. I went to purchase ball joint but the autoparts store askd if i have a dana 35 or 28. I have never heard of the explorer having a d28 only rangers and b2s. Im guessing slim posibilities on it being the d28 but thought id ask so id have minimal frustration levels when i tear it all down n find out its all wrong....also i would like to post pics of the truck.can anyone give advice on that too.

Get your parts from Rock auto. they have stronger parts (pro) at a good price.
There is a thread around hear somewhere whit part numbers, I'll see if I can find it.
